Baby Nests
Baby nests, otherwise known as baby pods, are fairly new to the baby scene. They are essentially a mattress with padded sides, offering a snug sleeping area for your baby and are a particularly popular option for supervised daytime naps. Being light means they are easy to move around the house without disturbing your sleeping angel! If you’re looking for a movable sleeping option to complete your essential nursery kit list, a baby nest could be the answer, or if you’re on the hunt for the perfect baby shower gift why not consider a baby nest, anything that helps give a new mum a moment of peace is a dream gift!
Baby Nest Vs Moses Basket - what's the difference?
Both Moses Baskets and Baby Nests are considered to be portable sleeping options, although they have some differences so it is always good to think about your needs and carry out research. Moses Baskets can be used as a baby’s first bed from birth, they can also be placed on a stand to create a higher sleeping position. Baby Nests on the other hand are designed more for daytime sleeps or a place for your baby to rest and stay safe from rolling. We would not recommend using a Baby Nest as an alternative to a Moses Basket.
We appreciate that whilst shopping for your new baby is possibly one of the most wondrous experiences it can also be the most baffling! Here are some common questions we receive about baby nests that we hope will make the murky water a little clearer!

We would not advise using a baby nest for overnight sleeping, they are designed to be used for supervised sleeping where you can regularly check your baby and ideally should be used in the same room as you are in, on a flat, firm and stable surface. If you are looking for an overnight sleeping option we have a super range of baby cribs that would be more suitable.
