• Do I really need a kitchen table and chairs?

If you’re moving into your first home or want to make your current house more of a ‘nest’, we’d encourage you to buy kitchen dining furniture for meal times with a difference.

Encouraging your children to dine, chat and complete their homework at the table, means you’ll never have to miss a moment of them growing up. That’s great if you’re the cook of the family.

• What are the different seating styles?

You can always stick with the elegant and traditional dining chair, which is available to buy in an eclectic range of materials, profiles and colours.

Alternatively, longer dining benches encourage a more informal get-together. Our bar stools are perfect for smaller set-ups and serving aperitifs during your next date night.

• How large should my table be?

Always purchase with your audience and kitchen dimensions in mind. Allow approximately one meter around the edge of your table, to allow space when each chair is pulled out.

In addition, the average person requires 50-70cm across. Indeed, 70cm gives everyone more room to eat whilst cutting their food or moving their hands. Watch out for any brackets attached to the table legs, as these could get in the way.

We recommend that you choose a dining table that measures 71-76cm tall. This is often the industry ‘norm’. The accompanying height of the chairs’ seats should be around 30cm lower than the tabletop for comfortable dining.

• Is it difficult to assemble kitchen and utility furniture?

Some self-assembly may be required on some of the items in this department. But don’t worry, we’ll provide you with the instructions and parts you’ll need.
